A friend recommended Mr. Grant Brinkley to me after having some cabinet work done in her kitchen. I had two projects – a bathroom wall cabinet for linens and a custom made wall of cabinets and drawers for my sunroom for a work set-up.

From the first time Grant walked into our home to provide an estimate, we found him to be courteous, knowledgeable, and very respectful of our wishes, and he took time to answer all the questions we had – then and in later email follow-ups. Grant scheduled our first project, the bath wall cabinet, installed it on time and we were so pleased with the results and excited about the next project.

Once the cabinet and drawer configuration were completed on schedule, Grant scheduled our installation. We could not be happier with the results! The cabinets and drawers are clean, crisp, sophisticated, and well trimmed out. Grant made several suggestions that turned out to be just right for the application.

I count myself as lucky to have been Grant’s first customer following his retirement from the Army.  I knew Grant to be a skilled woodworker and cabinetmaker, but I think my wife and I put him through a tough test!  Grant completely refurbished all the wormy chestnut cabinets in our kitchen.  The kitchen was stripped all the way back to bare walls in this project.  Not only was Grant was able to square up, reinforce, rebuild, and install sliding shelves, modern hinges, and new hardware; he was also able to acquire enough wormy chestnut to build a cabinet that replaced a trash compactor from the 1960’s.  The addition of granite countertops and stainless steel appliances resulted in a stunning transformation – all made possible by Brinkley’s Custom Cabinets.  We were so pleased with the kitchen that we convinced Grant to replace the wooden interior of an antique cabin cruiser we’re restoring, and we are well please with that project too.

Six months ago we remodeled our kitchen with the help of

Brinkley's Custom Cabinets; and every day since then, we are delighted by the look, feel and functionality of our new kitchen. The price was very reasonable and well within our expectations.

This project was not your ordinary cabinet job. I had acquired some rough sawn, wormy American Chestnut lumber from an old barn. Grant had to take on the task of milling the lumber before he could even start building the cabinets. I had full confidence in his abilities to process the lumber, and I gave him all of my coveted Chestnut.

The end result was a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, hand-made set of kitchen cabinets. We love the new cabinets, and everyone who sees them is amazed. The cabinets are such an improvement over the pieced together big box store cabinets they replaced, it is hard to describe. The craftsmanship is excellent. The finish is great. The drawers and pull-outs are top quality. And they look fantastic.

Grant was very easy to work with throughout the whole process; design, construction and installation. Since this was a remodel job, he had to deal with some unusual issues like out-of-square walls and un level floors. With his superior knowledge of cabinetry, he was able to easily overcome these issues. We were also working on a very tight time schedule. Grant was able to plan his work and install our cabinets in a very narrow window of time which allowed us to complete other parts of the project without any disruptions.
